Baltimore, October is Youth Justice Action Month! The Mayor’s Office of Children and Family Success (MOCFS) supports Youth Justice Action Month by bringing awareness to mental health. This year our theme is “Youth Justice is Ours: Community and Collective Voice.” #YJAM2023 is powered by the Coalition for Juvenile Justice (CJJ) and the National Juvenile Justice Network (NJJN)!

Justice.

Community.

Collective.

Voice.

We can only create a true vision of justice, equity and opportunity when we hear directly from those who are most impacted by the systems we are fighting to change. That means amplifying youth voices and ensuring the decisions made for them are informed by them.

This year our theme “Youth Justice is Ours: Community ”, provides a safe space to have youth voices heard and to collectively imagine new possibilities for systems of support, healing and restorative justice.
